Nepal: Reaching the Urban Poor with Family Planning/HTSP Messages

This case study documents how the Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG) applied a multifaceted, community-based approach providing information and education on Healthy Timing and Spacing of Pregnancy (HTSP) to a marginalized, urban poor population in Kathmandu, Nepal. It also reports on preliminary outcomes of this intervention, designed to improve the community's knowledge of and attitudes toward HTSP and family planning with special focus on increasing the use of postpartum family planning.
