CCP developed this Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH)/Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) communication strategy in 2011.
The strategy outlines its sociopolitical and environmental, service delivery, community-level and individual-level objectives. It also includes barriers to PMTCT. The strategy includes creative briefs for three domains: individual-level (prenant women, HIV+ pregnant women, male partners), community-level (women and men of reproductive age, influential leaders) and service delivery (health service providers at facilities, support staff at facilities, community-based service providers).
This communication strategy led to the creation of the Smart Parents for a Healthy Child campaign.
